Zenoss and Nutanix are excited to shine the spotlight on and announce the release of the Nutanix ZenPack and the certification of Zenoss as Nutanix AHV Ready and AHV Integrated through the Nutanix Elevate partner program.
Most organizations have deployed a host of monitoring tools to keep their business services running smoothly, yet the cost of outages is increasing. IT outages are costing large enterprises billions because modern IT environments are far too complex and dynamic for traditional tools.
Zenoss Software-Defined IT Operations™ provides the super glue to take inputs from any source, regardless of the location, and apply intelligent analytics to avoid service disruptions across the entire IT enterprise infrastructure. Zenoss uniquely predicts and eliminates IT outages and typically reduces downtime by 50 percent and IT Ops spend by 15 percent in the first year.
Nutanix makes infrastructure invisible, elevating IT to focus on the applications and services that power their business. The Nutanix enterprise cloud platform delivers the agility, pay-as-you-grow economics, and operational simplicity of the public cloud without sacrificing the predictability, security and control of on-premises infrastructure. Nutanix solutions leverage web-scale engineering and consumer-grade design to natively converge compute, virtualization and storage into a resilient, software-defined solution that delivers any application at any scale.
Zenoss and Nutanix Integration
The integration between Zenoss and Nutanix creates a significant step forward in moving IT leaders closer to fully automated, lights-out IT operations.
“Customers are increasingly adopting Nutanix because of the speed and flexibility that they provide in provisioning and supporting enterprise applications and workloads,” said Brian Wilson, chief customer officer at Zenoss. “We’re excited to work with this market leader, and we’re proud to stand out as an integrated and scalable service assurance platform that can be adapted to every type of complex IT environment — from the application level to virtual machines, storage, hyperconverged and even cloud environments.”
The Nutanix ZenPack
The Nutanix ZenPack is a comprehensive monitoring integration that gives IT leaders the ability to view their entire Nutanix Enterprise Cloud deployment as a single holistic unit — encompassing the hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) storage, virtualized resource capacity, and virtual network components. Linked with Zenoss Service Impact, the Nutanix ZenPack gives users the ability to see when and where performance issues occur and pinpoint the services that rely on Nutanix infrastructure — greatly accelerating the ability of IT operations professionals to perform a root-cause analysis and accelerate the mean time to resolution of issues or outages.
This foundational integration between Zenoss and Nutanix is critical to meet our ever-evolving market and customer needs.
What are Zenoss ZenPacks?
ZenPacks are prepackaged, customizable and extensible plug-ins used to extend the Zenoss Service Dynamics (ZSD) platform. They use standard APIs and protocols, including SNMP, WMI and SSH, to collect configuration information and provide deep system monitoring capabilities across new types of systems and applications. The flexible, highly extensible ZenPack model allows the ZSD platform to extend discovery, performance and availability monitoring to new technologies quickly. In addition to the Nutanix ZenPack, Zenoss boasts a catalog of more than 400 ZenPacks covering physical systems, containers, cloud deployments and applications.
Additional information and documentation for the Nutanix ZenPack can be found in the Zenoss ZenPack Catalog.
